Standard Interceptor Sizes
| Type | GPM | Grease Cap | Typical Use |
|---|---|---|---|
| Under-sink | 4-15 | 8-40 lbs | Single fixture |
| Point-of-use | 20-35 | 40-70 lbs | Prep area |
| In-ground | 50+ | 100+ lbs | Full kitchen |
| Large gravity | 100+ | 500+ lbs | Food court |
PDI-G101 Sizing Formula
Point-of-Use (Hydromechanical)
D × GL × LF = GPM
D = Drainage load (GPM)
GL = Grease load factor (0.5-1.0)
LF = Loading factor (1.0-1.5)
Grease retention = GPM × 2 lbs
In-Ground (Gravity)
Gallons = GPM × RT × SF
RT = Retention time (typ. 30 min)
SF = Storage factor (typ. 1.5-2.0)
Min 750 gallon per most codes
